Banana-Stuffed French Toast

Thick slices of bread are stuffed with bananas and soaked in a rich batter in this excitingly different French toast recipe!

Ingredients
  1. 4 slices of sourdough or Italian bread (1 inch think)
  2. 2 large ripe bananas
  3. 2 eggs ½ cup milk
  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
  1. Cut a 3 inch pocket in the crust of each slice of bread.
  2. Slice the bananas in half lengthwise and then into 3 inch pieces.
  3. Place two pieces of banana in each pocket.
  4. In a shallow bowl, beat eggs, milk and vanilla; soak bread for 2 minutes on each side.
  5. Fry on a greased griddle over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
Notes
  1. Serve with Brockmann Timber’s pure maple syrup!
